Only one online entry per person will be accepted for the duration of the contest. TELUS does not accept entries for this contest by phone, fax, courier, mail or email. This contest is intended for residents of Canada only and will be interpreted according to Canadian law.
THE PRIZE. The awarded prize will consist of: One (1) $2000 American Express Gift Card
Reward card can be used virtually anywhere that welcomes American Express® Cards in Canada as detailed at www.encompasscard.aeis.com. The card is point based with 1 point = $1 in purchasing power. Card valid for up to 12 months; unused points will be forfeited at midnight MST the last day of the month of the valid thru date, subject to applicable law. Usage restrictions and guidelines apply. Card cannot be redeemed for cash and is not transferable. The card cannot be used for revolving payments, or with water taxis, limousines and ATMs. Card terms and conditions apply. The card is issued by American Express Incentive Services, LLC. Prize must be accepted as awarded, is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the winning entrant. TELUS reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equivalent value and/or to terminate or withdraw this contest at any time. The decisions of the contest judges are final.
ELIGIBILITY. To be eligible, entries must be received on or before the contest closing date of June 30th, 2010. Contest runs April 7th, 2010 12:00:01 a.m. EST to June 30th, 2010 11:59:59pm EST. This contest is open to all residents of Canada excluding Quebec and excluding employees of TELUS and its advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their respective immediate families and any person domiciled with any of the above. In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner or spouse.
THE DRAW. A random draw (the “Draw”) will be held at the TELUS Offices on July 12th, 2010 at 12:00 pm (EST) from among all eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The selected entrant will be notified by telephone within four (4) business days of the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted by email or telephone within four (4) business days of the Draw date, or if the selected entrant does not meet all of the contest rules, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. To win, the contestant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone at a pre-arranged mutually convenient time.
The winning entrant of the prize or, if the winning entrant is under the age of majority, his/her parent or legal guardian, must sign a standard form confirming compliance with contest rules and releasing TELUS and its directors, officers, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the contest including liability arising from the acceptance of and usage of the prizes as awarded and confirming compliance with the Contest Rules. Failure to comply with the Contest Rules or to sign and return the release form within 14 days of receipt will result in disqualification and another entry will be drawn.
ENTRIES. All entries become property of TELUS, which assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the Web site during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by TELUS on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from this promotion. TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of TELUS and its directors, officers, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies, divisions and subsidiaries, corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the independent judging panel, which are final. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
PRIVACY. By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image on video tape for publicity purposes in all media used by TELUS, without payment or compensation. Entrants agree to TELUS’ use of the entrants personal information as described in TELUS’ privacy policy located at www.telus.com.
OTHER. All entrants that are customers of TELUS at the time of entry and/or at the time of prize award must have their TELUS accounts in good standing (with a current account balance that is no more than 30 days past due) in order to be eligible to win the prize.
